HRP Table 1.0 Westmount Terrace Redevelopment Works:
Question: In relation to Table 1.0 (in the Ministers response) regarding upcoming projects to be made available through the Proactis Portal. Please could you provide more information about the Westmount Terrace Redevelopment Works?
RESPONSE:
Westmount Terrace has been used to describe the properties to the east of Westmount Road, which is in public ownership, and sits between the two fields. They were to be demolished as part of the Our Hospital proposals, however given the anticipated reduced number of trips to the Acute facility, a multi-storey car park will no longer be required (reducing visual impact and cost), and so these properties will remain. NHF is seeking to make best use of these properties for site offices and/or accommodation, mindful that there will be intensive construction activities in the surrounding areas whilst the Acute Hospital is being built. There were several recent procurements sent out via Proactis relating to the necessary activities for an initial feasibility study and a conceptual design to RIBA Stage 2. This initial feasibility study work will investigate the options for Westmount terrace for short term accommodation and future key worker living accommodation.
