No!

Why are pastimes such as the Battle of the Flowers considered more 'cultural' events, worthy of the taxpayers funding, simply because they have been around longer?! Jersey Live was an amazing event, celebrating the diversity of musical culture, bringing people to the

island from all over the world, yet they want to penalise it because... well... why?

It's blatant discrimination against young people (and those who are young at heart!).

If they begin charging for police presence at such events then they MUST charge ALL events. If they do start charging, then there should be a corresponding fall in taxes, all to often in these situations the money which is supposedly saved is never fully accounted for and the savings not passed on to the man on the street.

What next? Charging people who are the victims of robbery and assault for the police's time?!
