Dear Sirs,

As I have personelly been the proud owner of a number of pedigee Jersey cattle, which have won major prizes for their top performance in the dairy industry, from the Bree herd at La Rocque, Grouville in Jersey which were regarded as one of the finest Jersey herds in the world by authorities on the subject like my family and friends who included some of Jersey cattle top pedigree authorities in the world endorsed by my colleagues who are top world authorities on genetics in this area, who all assert that the isolated pure stock of Jersey should remain isolated in the long run to ensure that the work of developing the purest Jersey cattle in the world can continue I call on the total banning of importation of semen into the island which could bring in disease and unwanted traits into our pure stock like the unique Jersey Bank Vole found in Jersey also a mammal and pure after isolation for millenia which has made them vigorous and

beetter suited to living in Jersey than if other bank voles weree intoroduced to undermine the genetics of the isolated population.

I have studied animal biology myself with the European Science Foundation who I have assisted in projects and I can assure interested parties that there is everything to gain and nothing to lose from retaining an isolated pure Jersey catle stock which are of greater interest on the world stage than if they were genetically manipulated by a number of businessmen who do not realise the error they could be ressponsible for ssuch ass bringing in genetic traits wwhich would undermine the pure Jersey cattle stock line in the island at present which have evolved naturally over the centuries thanks to families like mine who understood more than the businessmen who are not thinking strategically by undermine the pure Jersey strain which include the best cattle of the race in the world ideally suited to the island of Jersey and its environment.

I stress that if the pure breed is undermined there will never be the possiblity of correccting genetic errors created by

unthinking genetic manipulation using gene pools from outside the island. I suggest contaccting my colleagues in

Linnaeus University in Sweden and the Institute for Geneeticss and Cytology in Novosobirisk the capital of Siberia who can support my authority in this area.

Yours sincerely,
