Submission 2.2

Thank you for contacting me about the Income Support system and fortunately they did manage to sort things out for me last year and I received a back-dated payment, although I still feel very upset about how I was treated by the lady at the Income Support section, as Iwas so humiliated by the experience.

However, I have just been informed by my landlord that my rent will be increased by £93.00 per month and I will now have to send a copy of the letter to Social Security so that they can hopefully adjust my payment, otherwise I won't have much money left over to be able to pay my bills and buy food etc.

I have also had extra expense recently, due to having a gall bladder operation last year, which has since caused me to have stomach problems and I have had to keep paying out to see my doctor (at £32 each time) and to buy medicines at the chemist. Ionly hope that I won't need to be on a strict diet for the rest of my life, as the food may be even more expensive! It has also meant that I have been unable to find work, as any potential employer isn't going to

be interested in my current health problems, especially if they can employ a healthy person instead! I would like to be able to undertake a training course e.g. ECDL or possibly an accounts course and I have nowcontacted the Careers Advice Department about this.

Anyway, I will let Social Security know that my rent has increased, but if I have any problems, I will contact you again.

Kind Regards
