SUBMISSION – 18th March 2016

As a parent myself and with an XXX who physically struggles at school ~ I have come across and engaged XXX who is systematically helping my XXX to strengthen various core reflexes to help XXX develop.

She is of the mind that many children are not sufficiently physically developed to ensure smooth learning until around age 7. As I understand it, this is nothing to do with IQ or intellectual ability but rather physiological development just as puberty is a physiological development (although some young people mature early there is a general age where the body develops into sexual maturity so too it is with neuro maturation). Reading the attached I pretty much agree.

As a parent and a PTA member I would like to submit the attached although it is information supplied by XXX ~ I have knowledge of this first hand based on my own experiences with my son and as already stated I'm in agreement with the information therein.

XXX has said she would be available to talk first hand to Deputy Doublet or the Panel or anyone else who would like to learn more about the work she does.
