Thank-you for giving us the opportunity to respond to this document, the recommendations of which we broadly support. We would like to mention that arrangements for support services for those giving evidence at the enquiry was initiated through ourselves (as detailed on their website at the time) and going forward we would like to ensure that victims are given the opportunity to be able to access support services when needed. In this respect our service would welcome the opportunity to meet with the panel in order to discuss further.
Please note that our vice-chair is Brian Heath, Chief Probation Officer, who is well versed with the Care Enquiry from his position as head of the Probation Service, and I would ask that he is included in any further correspondence on this matter.
