Michael Vieira

I am really confused about this issue, in my mind I thought this subject had already been proposed to scrutiny and it was just waiting for it to be passed and was to come to fruition in the spring of 2018.

Why does this have to go to public consultation?

My partner of 18 years and I have been waiting for this law to be changed and we are in the early stages of preparing our wedding celebrations but obviously we can not progress until the law has been changed.

For heavens sake why does Guernsey and even Alderney have this law in place? Once again I feel Jersey lags behind with not only this law but many others which need to be passed.

My partner and I know that we can have a Civil Partnership but we are both waiting now as we want to be recognised and legally married.

Please get this law passed so that I and countless others in our position can be married in the eyes of the law.
