I am concerned that Residents of The Channel Islands do not have the same rights in regards to Equality as UK Citizens.
I think it is important that equal rights are observed to all residents.
Gay marriage affects no one, other than the parties directly involved and I know as the mother of a Gay Son that it affects them greatly. Surely in 2017 it is time for Jersey to move forward with the same thinking as rest of the UK. Discrimination has no place in a modern society.
Please consider changing the law to accommodate Gay Marriage and move forward with current thinking.
