Tern Events

Thank you for sending me the proposed changes to review.

I have read through all the proposed changes, albeit your request was mainly for me to review those changes applying to open air marriage.

There are, as I know has been raised publicly, a number of typos etc which I am sure are being addressed, so I won't list those I have found.

As a professional wedding planner I welcome the key draft changes as, in my view, they:

  1. make marriage available to all consenting adults regardless of sexual orientation or religious beliefs;
  2. safeguard considerably more than currently again sham marriages; something which was becoming of great concern in the industry when I was based in the UK;
  3. make the processes involved considerably less onerous and more practical.

I appreciate the opportunity to review the proposed changes and will gladly contribute further in any way you may deem useful.

With regards, Sandy Moretta
