Redesign of the Health and Social Services Governance Model Written Submission

We are pleased to be able to comment on the new governance model and we support any changes that give clients/patients more choice and a greater say in their health care.
Relate hears the voice of its clients through questionnaires and it would be good to have their voices heard in a different forum.
Offering clients/patients a greater say in the care and support they receive is a positive thing but there are concerns regarding waiting times for them to be seen and wonder what the impact will be, with limited resources both personnel and financial, if the service demand is increased by these new proposals.
Relate has developed, on receipt of funding, a confidential counselling service at The Bridge for vulnerable families. This service is offered free of charge to the clients of The Bridge.
We welcome working with the different services in the future to ensure that the clients/patients are receiving the very best care possible.
