I feel that the current arrangement of having Deputies elected on a parish basis should be maintained.

Linking parishes into larger electoral districts in my opinion will dilute the parish system. The parish system is one of the strengths of living in Jersey.

Currently if the Chief Minister is a Senator I have through my vote a say on whether he or she is initially elected to the States. If the "Island Mandate" is removed I will lose that right more so if the Chief Minister chosen by the States Assembly is a deputy elected in another district to mine.
