Submission 1

Regarding shopping.

I work out of town and the thing that prevents me shopping the most is car parking.

So having to pay for parking.

I regularly on a Friday drive into town just before five and park in sand street car park as close after five as I can. Often driving round and round the outside of sand st car park till the clock on the wall of the car park says 5:01.

I also find some or a lot of the car parks very narrow and tight to fit my car. So I will only go to certain car parks.

I think if car parking was free for an hour it would encourage more people to go into town.

I also find at peak times sand street car park gets very congested making it difficult to exit, which is horrible, and puts me off.
