Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel Written Submission – Davey – 24 January 2018

This is the first time i have written to you. I find it totally unfair that the States are debating giving a grant of £9000 a year to support sending their children to university .Today i received letter informing me my pension for 2017 was £10,692.50. I had to live on this for the year, nowhere near the £3000 these people will earn. The Grace Trust have also said more people are using the food banks than ever before. The States scrapped the pensioners Christmas bonus due to lack of funds. It is about time all of you showed some compassion for the more needy and when this has been rectified then think about helping the lower income families with these fees. Many thanks for taking the time to read this.
