8th January 2019 Dear Minister

Personal Tax Review

I write to inform you that the Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel has agreed to undertake a review of the proposed Personal Tax Reforms over the coming weeks.

Having completed our reviews of the 2020-2023 Government Plan and Population & Migration, we intend to begin our work immediately. Attached to this letter are the Terms of Reference for our review.

Alongside our upcoming public hearing with you on Tuesday 14th January, we intend to seek the views of Industry Experts to collect evidence and insights into these reforms.

We hope that the evidence we gather and our final comments paper will help inform the work of both your department and the Council of Ministers in reforming our Island's approach to personal taxation.

I would be happy to address any questions you may have about our work. Yours sincerely

Senator Kristina Moore

Chair, Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel
