From: Member of the public To whom it may concern,
Thank you for accepting public views on the proposal for the 2019 tax liability to be frozen and repaid over a period of time, to be defined.
My wife and I pay on a Prior Year basis, and have planned our finances accordingly; I am 44 and my wife is 50, and as teachers we plan to retire at 60.
We agree with the need for fairness, and that those who have repaid their liability already, or who have always been on a current year basis, would feel aggrieved should part of the population gain a benefit of writing off a year's tax.
We would request that there be no change and that we continue on a prior year basis. Adding further tax payments at any stage over the next 10-15 years will compromise our quality of life and support of our children.
Kind regards
