To whom it concerns
Here we are once again, surveyors marking out and telling residents what's been planned in the local area! So much for proposed public information sharing that was promised by minsters.
How can this route be allowed?
Peoples park is protected point one. This government have declared a climate emergency point two.
• The planned route will involve cutting down wonderful mature trees on all sides of the park.
• The planned route will take away the footpaths within the park through the woods.
• The bowling club will be taken away, which is a great social point for people from the area and events.
• The cark park along the park will go, to create an extra lane of traffic. This alone would be a nail in the coffin for pubic events in the park due to H&S and traffic flow.
• How will the area cope with all these proposed developments which are already at planning for the surrounding area? Parking? Open space?
• Removal of island historical interest location.
The idea of using Overdale for the hospital seems to be riding rough shot over the general publics concerns regarding it! Budget (looking at the plans the island has a free pot of gold?), Environmental impact (Both on route and new site), Welfare of residents (green space quiet area gone).
