To whom it may concern.

I feel compelled to right this submission.

Jersey is an island with a long long history of fishing and now more then ever is the time to protect the islands future.

I'm not a fisherman but I have worked In and around the industry for over 20 years as a marine engineer. I've supplied new engines/parts and maintained numerous boats In the fleet over the years which I'm proud to have done.

All of these guys work extremely hard and supply both the island and continent with fresh fish to make a living. If the local government do not stand up for the current and future fisherman of the island then not only are you effecting there lively hoods/futures but also dozens of other local businesses who work closely with the local boats my company included.

Government of Jersey. Now is your time to protect the islands waters and future for all our younger generations of fisherman.

Please do the right think and support your fellow islanders!!! Kind regards

Darryl Morris
