Once again the government has chosen the wrong location for the new hospital. Overdale is a dreadful place for the new hospital. With it on what might be one of the highest points of the island they surely won't be allowed to build to high as it is not far away from the glide path for the arriving aircraft into the airport. Having the new hospital placed next to the crematorium doesn't hold much hope for patients going into the hospital, it always is very disrespectful for people trying to morn for family members whilst sirens from ambulances go back and forth. Works my for an ambulance service in the uk but previously working in jersey having the hospital at Overdale is stupid. The perfect location is and always will be people's park. Once the new hospital has been build if people are that bothered with losing the green space in town knock down the old hospital and rework the parade roads, and build an new park in the footprint of the old site and connect it with the park already at the parade. That way you have a HUGE green space able to host many events, keep the hospital centrally in town and allows respect for people trying to mourn family at the crew. Ik you will never read this and it's too late. But I really think you should have consulted medical professionals about what they want and need, they would have been able to offer you the best place for the new site.
