Considering all the access issues and the total amount of money involved, a new hospital at Overdale will never represent value for money. The public are entitled to value for money (for once). Don't touch the rainy day fund for this.

The facts make Overdale a poor option to locate a new hospital.

Why have gov.je continued with this site when it has so many obvious issues and is the worst possible location for a new hospital.

Costs are excessive

Access is an enormous problem

The amount of damage that will be incurred to existing properties, businesses, trees, parking and so on is unacceptable.

How can you call any new access road 'super highway' when it is only approx one mile long, up hill and connects to no other super highway only over congested narrow roads.

There were and are better site options, some no longer available due to the overbuild of too many flats, for investors mainly, not built for family living

Suggestion: If the Summerland site had been considered, Sacra Coeur knocked down and the ambulance station moved (next to the fire station maybe) this could have been a possible option. There are still others.

You might not agree but the more you look at Overdale for a hospital site and what's involved it is madness and, ever completed, will be an eyesore on top of the hill.
