As everything seems to be compared with the UK then it is time this project was compared with the UK hospitals that have been built for a quarter of the price. Perhaps it would be possible to buy the plans from a recently built UK hospital and solve the whole problem of design once and for all.
It is time that the States admitted that we are not a rich island, the funds for the hospital are not just sitting in the coffers. We are now poor with the working populace propping up a failing finance Industry and the entire infrastructure of the Island in dire need of repair.
It is time to stop putting good money after bad and build a hospital that serves the people of the Island in the hope that sufficient medical professionals will be found to fill it. The larger the hospital the more people required to staff and maintain it. We can only hope that lack of staff does not result in a large part of the oversized hospital being unused.
