Details:

I have been a fisherman for the past forty six years and have never been in the position where I can't sell my fish. If sales got bad locally we would land into France, but now the French refuses us to land scallops apparently this is due to that they don't recognise our health certificate, and yet they can land jersey scallops caught in our waters right next to me. I find this absolutely heart-breaking. At present I am paying Ports of Jersey in excess of £30,000 pounds per Annum for premises in which I lease due to lockdown and the French ban. Could you please explain to me how I meant to earn money to pay these bills? I am sure if French boats were told to stay out of our waters until Equal trade and rights were agreed it would be done overnight
