Can you please look into the complicated paper work to land shellfish in France that is often rejected .
All boats unloading have a fishing licence number why can this not be enough to unload your catch along with the unique code from environmental health department which shows you have followed all health and hygiene procedures from catching the shellfish , storing and transporting the shellfish , this would be an easier option for fishermen to do rather than fill in pages of paperwork and then wait 24 hours for approval, which can be rejected due to incorrect paperwork to then travel to France with their catch ,all this information could be kept on file with the merchant to show the French government . Things need to be simplified to support our fishing industry when the French fishing our waters along side us are not required to do this .
