Dear Scrutiny Panel

Like many people, I am frustrated that the Board that produced the "policy" (I put the word in inverted commas because I don't think it's a policy, it's just a method to put off the desperate need for action).

What we need is action now, not 2025 and this document just does what the States Assembly is often very good at - putting off making a decision so please, can you impress on the Assembly that the time for procrastination is over, we need action.

One final point concerns the 2021 census. Not forgetting that it was undertaken online so surely should have been quite rapidly available and yet It's nearly a year since it was undertaken and we still are no wiser as to our actual population! There's a widespread view that this Administration has something to hide and is it any wonder? The document identifies the need for a system to identify the precise number of residents in all categories, well my fear is that, given recent history, we could be years away from achieving that!

I'm sorry to say that I feel totally let down by this Administration's feeble attempt to come up with concrete proposals and this whole process merely appears to have been a tactic to delay the difficult decisions until they become someone else's problem!
