The fee in the new States scheme for the application of a Licence to lease a dwelling will only accept a payment by debit or credit card to a UK third party provider of (in my opinion see Trustpilot) dubious reliability.

It does not allow cash or bank transfer or payment by debit or credit card direct to the States.

Having suffered from a Hack and data leak, I will not use a card to make payment to any but known establishments and will be unable to comply with the new scheme because of an issue which is not required by Regulation or Law.

The Rented Dwellings Law and Regulations allow the Minister to set a fee, but does not specify that it can only be made by debit or credit card to a third party provider.

It is not just local business that needs scrutiny but Government itself.
