Dear sir
On several occasions I have been in a situation where I have a trolley full of shopping and in which I have got to to checkout to find that the shops till systems are down, I was in the fortunate position as I had cash, therefore was able to continue with purchasing my items, other shoppers were less as they only had card payments. Customers just left there trolleys and in which staff members had to go round and put items back on shelves, fridges and freezers.
I am always aware that holiday makers also want to use cash to pay for goods.. Businesses should have a choice of accepting cash or card.
A lot of the older generation, or people with disabilities prefer cash as it is easier to use and possible do not have access to bank accounts or cards
