Good evening,
Removing cash is a highly detrimental move for the majority of them population. It takes anyway personal control of funds, it stops small charitable donations, tips for low paid workers, car boot sales, charity events etc etc. what about sending children to the
shops to get a load of bread or carton of milk.
Personally, if I go out for a few beers, I will take £20 with me...I then can't spend anymore, I've limited myself.
For business purposes, every transaction will be charged for my the bank, causing an increase in costs; this will be passed onto the consumer further fueling inflation.
What happens when technology fails, business is forced to stop... Don't say it doesn't because it does, regularly. Cash is lethal tender, keep it along side other payment methods. Oh... And what happens if the bank block a card or payment method in error for what they consider to many small transactions?
Big brother then starts trying is what we can and can't spend our money on??? Think, think and think again
Do not take away people's freedom of choice and become a dictatorship Regards
