My wife and I use cash only. We get our cash from any ATM
that is working. We buy everything we need with cash as we
know how much we are spending as we have a limit each week.
When we get our Bank statements it takes only a few minutes
to check what has gone out. If we bought every thing on card
we would have about four pages to check through to make
sure it adds up right. why would any one pay for a loaf of bread
or a litre of milk on card or by phone. I do not have a phone to
allow me to do payments. I still have an old Nokia phone. Our
Grand children love receiving Birthday money, Christmas money, holiday money and pocket money in cash. It is sometimes cheaper
to use cash. IE, taxies take away food deliveries. I even pay my
income tax with cash which they do not like as they have to count
it by hand. Maybe some people do not know how to count with
out a calculator or their phone. Businesses should not be allowed refuse cash and if they do I walk away. Supermarkets are slowly moving towards card only as they will have to employ less people.
I told one supermarket worker that if they went card only that I would go there every week and fill up a large trolly with food and items and go through the payment system and at the end say sorry I only have CASH. PLEASE KEEP CASH FOR US OLDER PEOPLE.
Thanks
