Good morning.
I have a huge problem with this, I'm a 58 year old Jersey born lady, and sadly the majority of people cannot get any sort of debit card or bank account through any bank over here. Jersey is the hardest place to do this.
I was in a relationship many years ago, and he left me in lots of debt, but it was impossible for me to get a bank account anywhere back then, even though the debt was not even mine.
And this is a lot of the problem over here, if you don't have thousands of pounds they don't want to know.
I'm a disabled lady who lives on benefits, but yet no bank will touch anyone who is on benefits, which is discrimination, as I stated to a bank once, my money is guaranteed, but yet anyone can loose their jobs in a instant, and they couldn't answer my question.
Even people on benefits need monetary help sometimes, but yet we are discriminated against, which is so wrong. We are still human beings.
There needs to be lots of changes to help people, no matter their circumstances. There are a lot of people who only survive on cash, so cash has to stay, or else what and how are these people going to survive.
Kindest regards Ms Adams
