I am a parent of a ADHD sufferer.

My daughter has been without her meds for two weeks now , these meds keep her mind quiet and able to focus which I turn enables her to work . She is not coping again with life / work and is suicidal again. She is going to uk to be with her father for a month on Saturday, so she had an urgent appointment with Dr Amwar who only gave her two weeks worth of meds at 50per cent reduced strength. This is unbelievable incompetence, so the powers that be would rather see a young person commit suicide than help them cope with life. (She has already been found once before) Yes she has an appointment with mental health on 27th July which she was never informed of, by then three weeks without meds and won’t be here.

I completely agree that doctors should have the authority to prescribe ADHD drugs it is ridiculous that only ONE person can prescribe this drug in the whole of the island ! ( who is on compassionate leave ) aDHD sufferers are being let down massively.

I am extremely concerned for the welfare of my daughter.
