The 2013 Budget Statement contains the proposals of the Minister for Treasury and Resources in respect of taxation income. As such, it contains proposals in respect of Income Tax, GST, Stamp Duty and the Impôts on alcohol, tobacco and fuel. It is also in the Budget that the States will be asked to approve the capital programme for 2013. The Panel is undertaking a short review of these proposals and will question the Minister on the rationale underlying them and the impact they are likely to have.
