REPORT

On 13 April 2022, the Minister for External Relations and Financial Services made a Ministerial Decision delegating certain of his functions under Articles 28, 30 and 30A of the States of Jersey Law 2005 (see Decision reference MD-ER-2022-278., available at www.gov.je).

The terms of the delegations, and the legislation under which those delegations were made, were recorded in a Report attached to the Ministerial Decision, as shown below –

Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Jersey) Law 2019

Article of function:

33 – "Powers to require information"

Delegate:

Head of International Compliance; the Group Director of External Relation; the Director – Global Relations and International Agreements; the Director of Financial Crime Strategy; and the Associate Director of Financial Crime Strategy.

Function delegated:

The power to require the provision of information from designated persons or others under this legislation for the grounds outlined in Article 33.

Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Jersey) Law 2019

Article of function:

34 – "Production of documents"

Delegate:

Head of International Compliance; the Group Director of External Relation; the Director – Global Relations and International Agreements; the Director of Financial Crime Strategy; and the Associate Director of Financial Crime Strategy.

Function delegated:

Powers in relation to the production of specified documents or documents of a specified description outlined in Article 34.
