REPORT

On 1st March 2024, the the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning made a Ministerial Decision delegating certain of his functions under Articles 28, 30 and 30A of the States of  Jersey  Law  2005 (see  Decision  reference  MD-ELL-2024-155,  available  at www.gov.je).

The terms of the delegations, and the legislation under which those delegations were made, were recorded in a Report attached to the Ministerial Decision, as shown below –

 

Delegate:

Deputy Carina Alves of St. Helier Central

Functions delegated:

The Assistant Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning will have delegated responsibilities for:

- Education Language Policy

- Inclusion Policy

- Virtual School

Scope of delegation:

Full delegation in respect of the above areas. This includes the authority to sign ministerial decisions in respect of these areas and in respect of any provisions included in any relevant legislation.

In the event that the Minister is unavailable or out of the Island, the Minister also delegated all powers and functions conferred upon or vested in the Minister, including the power to make an enactment, and all other areas where the Minister would otherwise have to act and be advised.

Scope of delegation:
