The States Employment Board is the employer of all public employees in Jersey and is responsible for fixing employees' terms and conditions. The Board is chaired by the Chief Minister, or his nominee, and brings together two States Members who are Ministers or Assistant Ministers (appointed by the Chief Minister) and two States Members who are not (appointed by the States Assembly). The Board operates in accordance with the Employment of States of Jersey Employees Law 2005.
