REPORT

Whilst wishing to acknowledge the Chief Minister's concerns in P.59/2019 Amd.(2) about the scale of the administrative burden that would be created by setting the reporting level at £1,000, in the interests of transparency, it is important that the reporting level is set below the threshold for financial directions.

I have therefore proposed a level of £20,000 because this will reduce the administrative burden whilst, importantly, also capturing those consulting contracts that have a value just below the threshold for financial directions.

Financial and manpower implications

There are no additional financial or manpower implications for the States arising from the adoption of this amendment to the second amendment.
