REPORT

It  is  quite  clear  that  evidence  gained  as  a  Youth  and  Community  Development professional,  and  in  co-facilitating  the  Youth  Imagine  Jersey  seminar,  raises  real concerns that the Island runs the risk of losing young people disillusioned with a lack of  variety  in  career  possibilities.  As  has  been  observed  many  times,  a  small community that loses its young generations will eventually wither and die. Jersey must protect against this by working with both Economic Development and Education, Sport and Culture to ensure a balance is achieved between the wishes and abilities of the young and the needs of the Finance industry.

There  are  no  additional  financial  or  manpower  implications  arising  from  this amendment.
