REPORT

Following consultation with the Chief Minister and his team, I would like to amend my proposition, removing the requirement to add a statement of collective responsibility to Amendments, Comments and Statements.

The Chief Minister  and I  are in agreement that  adding a  statement  of collective responsibility to amendments, comments and statements lodged by the Council of Ministers will hinder the ability for negotiations and discussions with backbenchers, therefore allowing no middle ground to be met.

Financial and manpower implications

There are no financial or manpower implications  for the States arising from this amendment.
