REPORT

Decision(s):  Under  Standing  Order  168(3)  the  Minister  for  Infrastructure  hereby notifies the States that he has accepted the recommendation of the Property Holdings Department to agree to the following –

Land transaction –

For the Public of the Island of Jersey to enter into a new 21-year lease of Units 9 and 10, St. Peter 's Technical Park, St. Peter , to be occupied by the Health and Social Services Department.

The Health and Social Services Department are seeking to relocate the catering function currently based at the General Hospital to an off-site facility in order to maximise clinical space  in  the  new  hospital,  and  to provide  temporary  accommodation  for out-patients  and  further  clinical  functions  in  the  current  Hospital,  during  the construction period of the new hospital.

The Minister hereby authorises, as applicable, the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass any contract which is required to be passed on behalf of the Public; and the Director of Property Holdings to conclude any contract which is required to be concluded on behalf of the Public.

After the expiry of 15 days following presentation to the States the transaction may be concluded.
