REPORT

Decision(s):  Under  Standing  Order  168(3)  the  Minister  for  Infrastructure  hereby notifies the States that he has accepted the recommendation of the Property Holdings Department to agree to the following –

1. Land transaction –

For the Public of the Island of Jersey to enter into an assignment of the existing lease at 28–30 The Parade, St. Helier , for the remainder of the term; and then to extend and vary the terms of the lease to facilitate the Public's occupation of the property for a further 9-year period.

The property is a suitable size and in an appropriate location to relocate the education/training functions currently based at the General Hospital, in order to maximise clinical space in the interim hospital during its redevelopment. The property also provides sufficient additional office space to decant other Health- related services, as required, or provide for general office needs as part of the wider Office Modernisation Programme.

The Minister hereby authorises, as applicable, the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass any contract which is required to be passed on behalf of the Public; and the Director of Property Holdings to conclude any contract which is required to be concluded on behalf of the Public.

After the expiry of 15 days following presentation to the States the transaction may be concluded.

2. Land transaction –

To grant a 9-year lease for the Clubhouse forming part of the Jersey Croquet Club, Les Quennevais Sports Centre, Les Quennevais, St. Brelade , JE3 8LZ, under  the  terms  and  conditions  set  out  in  the  report  accompanying  the Ministerial Decision.

The Minister hereby authorises, as applicable, the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass any contract which is required to be passed on behalf of the Public; and the Director of Property Holdings to conclude any contract which is required to be concluded on behalf of the Public.

After the expiry of 15 days following presentation to the States the transaction may be concluded.
