BUS SERVICE: RESCINDMENT OF DECISIONS RELATING TO CONCESSIONARY FARES AND ADULT FARES AFTER 8.00  P.M. (P.150/2004) – COMMENTS

Presented to the States on 12th October 2004 by the Finance and Economics Committee

COMMENTS

The Finance and Economics Committee understands that the approximate annual cost of the proposition would be in the order of £125,000 per annum, for which no provision is made within the Environment and Public Services cash limit. The Committee understands that, for example in England, whilst half-fare concessionary travel for Senior Citizens is commonplace, free travel is rare and it is often the case that any concession is limited to off- peak times.
