Reservoir in Queen's Valley: Rescission of Act of States.
THE STATES, having resumed the previous day's debate on the Proposition of Deputy Mrs. Helen Baker of St. Martin to rescind that part of their Act of 11th November, 1980, in which they agreed that a reservoir with a storage capacity of approximately 250 million gallons should be constructed by the Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited in Queen's Valley, rejected the Proposition.

Report on Water Demands and Resources: Compulsory Purchase of Land in Queen's Valley.
THE STATES, adopting a Proposition of the Public Works Committee –
- noted the Report submitted to that Committee by the Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited entitled "Report on Water Demands and Resources";
- authorized the Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited to acquire, by compulsory purchase in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 of the Water (Jersey) Law, 1972, from the National Trust for Jersey approximately V.10.21.1 of land owned by the Trust and required in connexion with the construction of a reservoir in Queen's Valley.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, adopted a Law entitled Social Security (Amendment) (Jersey) Law, 1981.
Purchase of southern part of Field 767, St. Peter .
THE STATES, adopting a Proposition of the Harbours and Airport Committee –
- approved the purchase of the southern part of Field 767, St. Peter , shown coloured pink on Drawing No. M.S.134 from Mr. Elias John Balleine of La Chasse, St. Peter , for a consideration of £7,000 plus legal fees, (being £4,500 for the land and the sum of £2,500 compensation);
- approved the payment of the sum of £1,600 to Mr. Gerald Arthur Pallot of Belmont, Beaumont, the tenant of Mr. Balleine, to compensate him for the loss of the use of the field during the remaining term of his lease;
- authorized the Greffier of the States to sign the said Drawing on behalf of the States;
- authorized the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass the necessary contract in the matter;
- authorized the Treasurer of the States to make the appropriate payments in respect of the aforementioned transactions from the Harbours and Airport Committee Vote 1706 – Airport Operating Expenses.
