THE STATES commenced consideration of the draft Licensing (No. 4) (Jersey) Regulations, 198 (lodged on 2nd April, 1985) and adopted the Preamble.
Article 1 was adopted.
Article 2 was adopted, the States having accepted an amendment of the Tourism Committee that for the words "forthwith on promulgation" there should be substituted the words "on the first day of January, 1986".

THE STATES, in pursuance of the Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) (Jersey) Law, 1953, made Regulations entitled the Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) (Amendment No. 7) (Jersey) Regulations, 1985.

THE STATES, adopting a Proposition of the Public Works Committee, approved the provision of new staff accommodation at Government House by –
- the building of two pairs of semi-detached houses to re-house the families at present occupying accommodation in the stable block;
- following the construction and occupation of the new semi-detached houses, the refurbishing of the stable block and its conversion to provide at first floor level bedroom or bed-sit units for staff at present accommodated in the main house and at ground floor level, garages plus a gardener's office, toilets and stores.
