Bouley Bay Hotel, Trinity : purchase of site. P.75/85.

THE STATES, adopting a Proposition of the Island Development Committee –

  1. approved the purchase from Osiris Limited of the site of the former Bouley Bay Hotel (Fields 218 and 219, La Rue de la Petite Falaise, Trinity ) measuring about
    1. vergées and as shown on drawing no. 06.172.6, for  the  sum  of £160,000,  with  each  party  to  be responsible for its own legal fees;
  2. authorised the Greffier of the States to sign the said drawing no. 06.172.6;
  3. authorised the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass the necessary contracts in the matter;

  1. authorised the Treasurer of the States to debit the cost of acquisition to the Capital Vote of Credit granted to the Committee under the heading "Acquisition and Servicing of Land" (Vote C.0903).

Glacis Field, Fort Regent: proposed temporary car park. P.78/85.

THE STATES commenced consideration of a Proposition of the Island Development Committee that the Glacis Field at Fort Regent be used temporarily as a car park for patrons of Fort Regent (lodged on 16th July, 1985). After discussion, the States deferred further consideration of the matter.

THE STATES, adopting a Proposition of the Social Security Committee, approved the Social Security (Reciprocal Agreement with Iceland) (Jersey) Act, 1985.

Les Vaux, Grands Vaux, St. Saviour : purchase of flats. P.81/85. THE STATES, adopting a Proposition of the Housing Committee –

(a) approved the acquisition of 28 one-bedroomed flats at Les Vaux, Grands Vaux, St. Saviour , from Vaut Mieux Limited for a consideration of £884,800, for use as States' rental accommodation, with each party to be responsible for its own legal fees;

(b) approved the payment of £11,000 professional fees in connexion with the development, to Hewitt, Gallaher

& Diplock, architects;

(c) authorised the Attorney General and the Greffier of the States to pass the necessary contracts in the matter;

(d) authorised the Treasurer of the States to make the necessary payments from the Capital vote of credit granted to the Housing Committee under the heading "Building, Purchase and Rehabilitation of Dwellings" (Vote No. C1103).
