Tribute to the late Mr. W.P. Mourant – former Member of the House.

The Bailiff paid tribute to the late Mr. Walter Philip Mourant, a former   Deputy  of   St. Saviour .  The  States  observed  one minute's silence as a mark of respect.

STATES MINUTES  1st April, 1986 Visit of Home Secretary.

The President, having referred to the fact that the States had been convened for the purpose of receiving The Right Honourable Douglas Hurd, C.B.E., M.P., Secretary of State for the Home Department, called on Senator Ralph Vibert , O.B.E., the Senior Member of the House, to make a speech of welcome.

The Senator welcomed Mr. Hurd who then replied. THE STATES adjourned at noon.
