THE STATES noted an Act of the Finance and Economics Committee dated 28th April, 1986, showing that in pursuance of Rule 5 of the Public Finances (General) (Jersey) Rules, 1967, as amended, the Committee had noted that the Harbours and Airport Committee had accepted the lowest of nine tenders, namely that submitted by Shephard Hill and Company Limited in the sum of £9,160,495.57 in a contract period of 117 weeks for the construction of a fish quay and slipway, and new roll-on/roll-off berths at the Port of St. Helier .

THE STATES, on the proposition of the President of the Special Committee, resolved into a Committee of the Whole House to discuss the Second Report of the Special Committee to consider a request from the United Kingdom Government for a contribution towards defence and international representation.
