THE STATES noted an Act of the Finance and Economics Committee dated 21st October, 1988, showing that in pursuance of the Standing Orders relating to certain transactions in land, the Committee had approved, as recommended by the Island Development Committee, on behalf of the public of the Island, the purchase from Barclays Bank Plc. of Nos. 2–10 Halkett Place, St. Helier for the sum of £3,750,000 and the transfer of the property from the Island Development Committee to the Public Works Committee.

THE STATES acceded to the request of Deputy Maurice Clement Buesnel of St. Helier that his Proposition relating to entry controls for visitors to Jersey (lodged on 2nd February, 1988) be deferred from 29th November, 1988 to a later date.

Committee of Inquiry: development of south coast of Jersey. P.133/88.

THE STATES acceded to the request of Deputy Cynthia Miriam Horne of St. Helier that her Proposition relating to the setting up of a Committee of Inquiry to consider the development of the south coast of Jersey (lodged on 25th October, 1988) be considered on 22nd November, 1988.
