Retirement of H.E. the Lieutenant Governor
Senator Reginald Robert Jeune , on
behalf of all the States Members, paid
tribute to the interest and service of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, Admiral Sir William Pillar, G.B.E., K.C.B. and Lady Pillar during their term of office in
Jersey and wished them a happy retirement.
The Bailiff then presented Sir William with a pair of claret jugs suitably inscribed.
Sir William responded to Senator Jeune 's speech and expressed his and his wife's sincere thanks for the gift.
