Sir Robert Le Masurier, former Bailiff of Jersey

The President informed the House

that Sir Robert Le Masurier, former Bailiff and President of the House, had recently undergone heart surgery and was making a good recovery.

Agriculture and Fisheries Committee: gold medal at Chelsea Flower Show

The President, on behalf of the

States, congratulated the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee on the award of a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Welcome to H.E. the Lieutenant Governor

The Bailiff introduced Air Marshal

Sir John Sutton, K.C.B., the newly appointed Lieutenant Governor of Jersey to the Assembly.

Senator Reginald Robert Jeune then welcomed His Excellency and Lady Sutton on behalf of all the Members of the States, whereupon

Sir John Sutton replied, indicating his intention of taking an active interest in

the life of the Island.
