Building Loans (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment No. 23) (Jersey) Regulations 1994 - P.64/94

THE STATES commenced consideration of the draft Building Loans (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment No. 23) (Jersey) Regulations 1994 and adopted the Preamble and Regulation 1.

Regulation 2 was adopted, the States having accepted an amendment of the President of the Housing Committee that for the words forthwith on promulgation'' there should be substituted

the words 1st August 1994''.

THE STATES, in pursuance of Article 15 of the Building Loans (Jersey) Law 1950, as amended, made Regulations entitled the Building Loans (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment No. 23) (Jersey) Regulations 1994.

Jersey Council for Safety and Health at Work: appointment of chairman - P.68/94

THE STATES, adopting a proposition of the Social Security Committee, approved the appointment of Mr. Noel Nat Martin as chairman of the Jersey Council for Safety and Health at Work for a term of three years with effect from 1st July 1994.

Public Holidays and Bank Holidays (Jersey) Act 1994 - P.69/94

THE STATES, in pursuance of Article 2 of the Public Holidays and Bank Holidays (Jersey) Law 1951, as amended, made an Act entitled the Public Holidays and Bank Holidays (Jersey) Act 1994.

Airport development plan - P.70/94

THE STATES, adopting a proposition of the Harbours and Airport Committee -

( a) agreed that the Harbours and Airport

C om mittee should continue to plan a

deve lopment to improve Jersey Airport;

( b) in the event of the States approving a

r ec om mendation of the Policy and

R es ources Committee during the debate on t he Strategic Policy Review and

A c t ion Plan 1994, that £10 million is

al l oc ated in 1995 to the Harbours and

A i r port Committee for the proposed

deve lopment, requested the Finance and E conom ics Committee to make available f rom this amount the sum of £450,000,

on 1s t July 1994, as a planning vote.

H.M The Queen's Birthday Honours List - congratulations to former Members

The Deputy Bailiff , on behalf of all the Members and officers of the States, congratulated former Senator Bernard Binnington on being made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire and a former Connétable of Grouville , Mr. Alan Le Maistre, on being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire, in H.M. The Queen's Birthday Honours List.
