Services Committee to the Planning and Environment Committee of the administration of the covenants affecting all areas of land ceded

by the States to owners of properties on

Channel Islands instant lottery - P.93/97

THE STATES, adopting a proposition of the Gambling Control Committee, agreed, in principle, to amend Regulation 3A of the Gambling (Gaming and Lotteries) (Jersey) Regulations 1965, as amended, (which confirms that instant lotteries are unlawful) so as to permit the conduct of an instant lottery as part of the fortnightly Channel Islands Lottery, but not for other purposes.

Bellozanne, St. Helier - incinerator ash metal separation unit in green zone - P.99/97

THE STATES, adopting a proposition of the Planning and Environment Committee, supported that Committee's intention to grant permission for the installation of machinery to remove ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the incinerator ash stream at a site in Bellozanne Valley, St. Helier , shown on drawing No. 566/1, the land being situated within an area

designated as Green Zone on the Island Map, as amended 1-87.

Jersey Airport: Committee of Inquiry - P.100/97

THE STATES rejected a proposition of Deputy Philip John Rondel of St. John that a Committee of Inquiry be appointed in accordance with Article 30 of the States of Jersey Law 1966, as amended -

( 1) to investigate -

( a ) irregularities in the tendering p ro c e d ure for the mechanical se r v ic e s sub-contract of the

A i rp o r t development;

( b ) all aspects of fire safety at the A i rp o r t;

( c ) complaints of alleged
