Retirement of H.E. the Lieutenant Governor
Senator Pierre François Horsfall, on behalf of all States members, paid tribute to the interest and service of His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor, General Sir Michael Wilkes, K.C.B., C.B.E. and Lady Wilkes during his term of office in Jersey and wished them a happy retirement.
The Bailiff then presented Sir Michael with two sets of silver salt and pepper mills, engraved with the States' Crest.
Sir Michael responded to Senator Horsfall's speech and expressed his and Lady Wilkes' sincere thanks for the gift.
THE STATES then adjourned.
